About Us

Our Story

image10

Vines were initially planted at La Dolce Vita (LDV) in 1996.  For years the farm sold most of its fruit, but did operate a small winery for a period of time.  In 2012 LDV was acquired by the Hildebrandt family, who have lived and worked in Oregon for over 60 years.  Activity initially focused on the vineyard, with investments in equipment and farming practices to create outstanding pinot noir and pinot gris fruit.  More recently plans were put in place to offer an estate pinot noir wine "ESANDE", to be made exclusively with La Dolce Vita Vineyard‘s blend of 115 and 777 french clone fruit.  This new offering is extremely limited, and promises to be another fantastic representation of Pinot Noir, with fruit grown and wine made in Oregon!

Our Vineyard

La Dolce Vita Vineyards is an 11 acre, LIVE Certified Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris Vineyard located in the northern portion of Oregon's fertile Willamette Valley.  The Vineyard rows face south/southeast and are planted between 250 and 450 foot elevation levels. The dominant soil type throughout the Vineyard is Melbourne, which is formed from sedimentary rock. In addition, some volcanic seams are present in the higher elevations.  Pinot Noir clones include 115, 777 and Pommard.  Our goal at La Dolce Vita Vineyards is very simple, to produce the finest quality grapes for Oregons robust wine industry.  Past customers for our fruit include, Elk Cove Vineyards and Pike Road Wines, Torii Mor Winery, White Rose Estates, J. Rallison Cellars, Devona Winery and Ponzi Vineyards.  Check us out on Facebook and Twitter below!

Our La Dolce Vita Wines

Since 2012, La Dolce Vita sold 100% of its fruit to area wineries.  A number of these wineries produced wines in 2014 and 2015 made exclusively with La Dolce Vita fruit (single vineyard designated), including White Rose Estate, Guillen Family and J. Rallison Cellars.  Additional  commercially available bottlings offering 100% LDV Pinot Noir are planned in the future (2016, 2017 and 2018).  Beginning with the 2018 vintage, La Dolce Vita initiated an offering of its own flagship "ESANDE" Pinot Noir wine, made exclusively from our estate fruit.  This extremely limited production wine is currently in barrels but is already sold out.  If you are interested in purchasing future offerings of ESANDE please join our waiting list.
